Is air purifier better than dehumidifier?

There are lots of different benefits and applications that both an air purifier and dehumidifier can work in and there are different applications that one works better in than the other.

For example the air purifiers do not have a mechanism for drawing moisture from the air which means they can not be used for lowering the room’s humidity. However, what the air purifier does excel in is how it cleans the air compared to a dehumidifier.

A dehumidifier does not have any cleaning properties in them because of the lack of HEPA rated filter or UV light to eliminate smaller particles and pathogens.
