How Does Lot 20 Affect You?

On 1st January 2018, there was a very significant shakeup in EU legislation. Particularly relating to electric space heaters.

Electric space heaters must now be controlled by an internal or external controller to improve on efficiency. Also known as Lot 20.

The EU commission noticed that over the past few years, the electrical space heater market has made up a high proportion of energy usage by households and businesses.

The goal is to help further improve financial savings and reduce energy usage.

To optimise performance, all heaters need to be controlled by a thermostat timer.

Not much has changed for Warm4Less following the introduction of Lot 20. We have and always will advise clients to choose the appropriate controller from our accessory range to ensure the heater is being used at the right times and temperatures.
