This client runs a luxury dog kennels just outside Northampton. Accommodation for the dogs are in very nice log cabin style buildings and the whole place has a cared for and calm ambiance.

Current heating

One thing that was missing was a modern and effective heating system. There were red light mid-infrared lights, which at 220 watts each were not particularly effective and the bulbs needed regularly changing.

Our Recommendation

They fitted a mix of Warm4less far infrared heating panels – 600 x 600 320 watt panels in the smaller kennels and 600 x 1000 600 watt picture panels in the larger kennels. With a lifespan of at least 20 years, replacement costs aren’t much of a factor.

Nick, the owner, wanted nature-themed images to provide a calming and attractive environment for the dogs. They may not be two-legged homo sapiens like us, but dogs have feelings too and we think the policy of treating them as well as people is the only way to go. We would comment that for maximum efficiency, the panels can be suspended right over the area of the dog\’s bed with a ceiling fixing kit, which is what was done at this kennel with the 600 x 600 white panels. But to best see the pictures they need to be on the wall, which is the case here.

This last missing feature of advanced heating is now in place at these kennels. People can now leave their beloved pets knowing that they’ll be warm. It’s also important to note that this type of heat, far infrared, is much better than old-fashioned air heating. it has a calming effect on animals, including humans. It’s just like the effect of the sun. You want to lie out in it and go to sleep.

Far infrared is relaxing and therapeutic for dogs. Especially for those with joint pain and other ailments. It improves blood circulation and relaxation. Now, these kennels can offer this advantage to those looking for a kennel to leave their pet.
