Why Choose an Electric Patio Heater Over Gas?
- Instant warmth: you feel the heat as soon as you switch it on, with no waiting for a flame to build.
- No gas bottles: nothing to refill, store or carry back and forth.
- No fumes or flames: the only thing these heaters give off is infrared heat.
- Silent: there are no fans or moving parts, so the heaters won’t interrupt your conversation.
- A warm glow: mid-infrared heaters glow red when they’re on, which adds a cosy light to your evenings.

Mid-Infrared Heat For Open Spaces
Our outdoor heaters use mid-infrared heat, which is more intense than the far-infrared panels you’d use indoors. In the open air, a breeze carries warm air away almost as soon as you heat it.
Mid-infrared heat warms you and your seating directly, so you stay comfortable even on a cool, breezy evening.
Every heater in this range is rated IP65. The 6 means the heater is fully sealed against dust, and the 5 means it can withstand jets of water. Rain won’t stop your evening.
Choosing the Right Infrared Outdoor Heater
| Heater Type | Best For |
|---|---|
| Wall-mounted | Covered patios, pergolas, verandas and smoking shelters. Fix it to a wall and keep your floor space clear |
| Freestanding | Moving the heat to where you're sitting, with no drilling. A good choice if your seating changes through the year |
| Arching | Larger seating areas, restaurant terraces and beer gardens. It stands 2.6m tall and arches over your table to direct heat down onto your guests |
| Parasol | Outdoor dining tables with a parasol. It clamps around the pole (up to 65mm wide), and three heating units give you warmth all the way around the table |
Setting Up Your Patio Heater Safely
- Use an outdoor socket: plug your heater into a weatherproof outdoor socket with RCD protection. If you don’t have one, ask an electrician to fit one.
- Give it space: the front of a mid-infrared heater reaches 200°C to 400°C, so keep it well clear of awnings, cushions, plants and anything flammable
- Mind little hands and paws: position your heater out of reach of children and pets.
