Apartment in historic building transformed with Infrared heating

This job was in a converted historic building, the famous Ladybower Lodge, which was originally a pumping station servicing the Ladybower reservoir. Our clients, Andy and Krauser Thompson, occupy an apartment there.

Heating this property was quite a challenge as its stone walls are a massive 2 feet thick and as the building is listed, windows and the like can’t be touched.. The Thompsons when they came back from abroad to live there found it very cold. Fortunately, neighbours recommended Warm4less. They went round and experience the warmth from our panels in this neighbouring apartment.

Our surveyor visited the apartment, measured up the rooms, explained different products and agreed upon a system to install. The only problem was that the Thompsons were going away in three weeks time during the Christmas period and would be gone until February. Meeting the challenge, we fast tracked the installation and delighted the clients by getting it done quickly.

Now Krauser has ditched his thick jumper and the heaters are off more than they are on because the thick stone soaks up the heat like a true storage heater. Special mention needs to be made about the installation being difficult due to the thick walls and unusual arrangement, different ceiling heights and structural beams, all combined to make wiring difficult. But our crew worked well, without mess and completed the job to the client satisfaction.

A lovely historic home now has good quality heating!
