How long do infrared heaters last?

The materials we use, specifically the carbon crystal element on the inside is rated to last around 100,000 hours. This equates to anywhere from 30 – 60 years of use, depending on how the heater is used. All of the materials used are made to last as long as possible, even down to the coating used to ensure no discolouration at all. The fronting of our panels is made from aluminium which again, really reduces the chances of discolouration. Most other infrared heaters use a PET front which stands for Polyethylene terephthalate which is a type of plastic. This material is very prone to discolouration on white panels and will deteriorate very quickly over time.

Convection heating contains lots of moving parts and are prone to breaking, corroding, and getting worn out. Without moving parts, it means the infrared heaters last for up to 30 years, with no issues.
